Privacy policy

Updated 31 October 2026. Lookboards is operated by App Anorak. Contact pat@ptcampbell.me about this policy or your data.

Information we use

We store your Shopify store domain, installation status, and the authorization and session information needed to run the app. Shopify authentication may include staff account identifiers and profile information. These details are used to authenticate access and connect the app to your store.

We store gallery image references, titles, descriptions, alt text, hotspots, product and variant identifiers, links, price labels, board settings and publication choices you provide. Product search reads your Shopify catalog so you can select products for hotspots. We do not request customer or order access.

Images and public galleries

New uploads are stored in your merchant-owned Shopify Files library. Images and their source versions are public assets served by Shopify, even when a board is a draft. Only upload images you have permission to publish, and do not upload confidential information. Published board content is available to storefront visitors.

Service providers and logs

Cloudflare hosts the app and database and stores any older app-managed images. Shopify provides authentication, store APIs and image hosting. These providers process requests, which can include IP addresses and device or request information, to deliver and secure their services. Processing may take place outside your country.

The app uses operational error and performance logs to diagnose failures. We do not put access tokens or image-upload credentials in application logs. Lookboards does not add advertising trackers or behavioral analytics to your storefront and does not sell personal information. Support correspondence is used to answer your request and troubleshoot the service.

Retention and deletion

We retain your gallery data while the app is installed. Uninstalling disables app-managed gallery delivery and removes stored sessions. When Shopify sends its shop-erasure request after uninstall, we delete the store’s app database records and queue deletion of any app-owned image files. Minimal hashed webhook receipts remain to prevent duplicate event processing. Provider backups and operational logs expire under their retention schedules.

Merchant-owned Shopify Files remain in your store when you delete a look, uninstall Lookboards or erase app data. Manage or delete them in Shopify → Content → Files. Cached public images may remain available until the hosting provider’s caches expire.

Your requests

You can edit or remove your boards and looks in the app. To request access, correction or deletion of information we hold, contact the email above with your store domain. We may verify your authority to act for the store. We also process Shopify’s mandatory data-request and erasure webhooks. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location.
